Cancelation and Policies
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies: All CLIENTS must be 18 years old or older.
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. Payments are required before sessions.
If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged $35. This amount must be charged on your credit card we have on file. Any cancelation less than 24 hours will be subject to this charges.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged for their “missed” appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made. If you have scheduled two (2) times your appointments and canceled last minute or no-show, you will not be seen by the therapist in the future at Body Retreat Studio.
Arriving late
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. The session starts when you enter the room with the therapist. Please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier in order to fill out some paper work. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
For the security of our Licensed Massage Therapist and staff, we require that our clients fill out a registration form. If you have questions regarding the information and privacy of our forms, please ask our Lmt. Body Retreat Studio will not share or sale any information you provide to us. We understand that our client’s privacy, as well as our safety is very important. Unfortunately, without that registration we cannot provide you with services.
Health Concerns
If you have open wounds or your skin is compromised, please cover them before coming. If they are uncovered the therapist will avoid the area or place gloves on to avoid spreading or contracting anything. NO EXCEPTIONS. We want you to feel comfortable coming to receive massage, knowing your therapist is not going to ignore these things and make it possible for you to contract any skin infection or illness.
*Please note if you have a major illness or had major surgery recently or are pregnant in your first trimester, massage may not be recommended. If you have been to the gym prior to your massage, please shower before the massage. If you have any concerns, please call me and I will be happy to discuss with you whether massage would be beneficial or not.
Right of Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone. This includes but is not limited to anyone who requests treatment or services that are out of our scope of practice, disrespectful clients, unsatisfied clients, clients that are a threat to our therapists, erratically behavior and or previous clients that are trying to take advantage of our services without paying the price we have stated in our services. Those clients will be banned from getting services with us. Full draping is required for all clients, without exception. All services provided by Body Retreat Studio are absolutely PROFESSIONAL, LEGITIMATE, ETHICAL, NON-SENSUAL & completely respectful in nature. Any attempt to request sex in a session will result in immediate termination of the appointment without a refund. All Vouchers certificates and memberships will be honored unless the Body Retreat Studio goes out of business.
